Count Chocula Treats

Servings: About 16 treats

Ingredients:

  • 3 Tbsp. unsalted butter

  • 15 oz/ marshmallows (whatever size!)

  • 5 1/2 cups count chocolate cereal

  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows (optional)

  • 1/4 cup milk chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Lightly grease a 9 x 9" pan with cooking spray then set aside.

  2. In a large pot, melt the marshmallows and butter until nice and smooth.

  3. While this melts, separate a few marshmallows from the count chocolate cereal and place into a small dish and set to the side. We will use these as a topping.

  4. Once the marshmallows are completely melted, add the cereal and mix to combine everything evenly. As you mix, fold in the mini marshmallows (this part is optional).

  5. Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan and press down into every corner. A tip to help the mixture not stick to your hands or spatula during this step is to wet whichever tool you're using.

  6. Once the treats are flatted in the pan, melt the chocolate chips in 30 second intervals until completely melted then transfer to a piping bag or zip lock bag.

  7. Cut a small tip off of the bag then drizzle the chocolate diagonally on top.

  8. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle the count chocoula marshmallows that we set aside earlier.

  9. Allow the treats to set for about 20 minutes in the fridge before cutting.

  10. Enjoy!
