Spooky Spider Cookies

You can also find the recipe on the Harris Teeter website, click here!

Servings: 12-15 cookies

  • Harris Teeter “Take and Bake” Sugar Cookies (found in frozen section near bakery OR Harris Teeter already baked Sugar Cookies)

  • Harris Teeter Chocolate Bridge Mix (or any other small circular chocolate candy)

  • ½ cup Harris Teeter Milk Chocolate Baking Chips

  • Candy eyes

  1. If you are using the HT Take and Bake cookies, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Place the cookie pucks on the pan keeping about 1 ½” between each one. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.

  2. Allow the cookies to cool completely before moving on to the next steps.

  3. In a small bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30 second intervals until they are completely melted.

  4. Transfer the melted chocolate into a piping bag or zip lock baggie. Cut a small tip off of the bag.

  5. Pipe two dollops of chocolate in the center of the cookie and place two chocolate candies from the bridge mix on top of the melted chocolate. The melted chocolate will act as a glue to keep these secure.

  6. Once the body of the spider is on the cookie, pipe 4 legs on each side.

  7. Next, place two small dots of chocolate on the face of the spider and stick on two candy eyes.

  8. Repeat these steps for each cookie until you have a batch of delicious, spooky spider cookies.

  9. Enjoy!
